Hi all, Shawn Billerman, Brad Walker, and I went up the lake this afternoon. We saw pretty much the same assortment of birds at Montezuma that others have reported. A pair of BLUE-WINGED TEAL was in the visitor center pool with lots of Green-winged. We saw a NORTHERN SHRIKE near the end of Van Dyne Spoor and another flying by at Marten's Tract, along with a few TREE SWALLOWS. Two SANDHILL CRANES were in the back of the first field to the south on Carncross Road. Nothing else too exciting, lots of the usual ducks, no large groups of Snow Geese, and no other new arrivals. A great day to be out, though!
