It looks like Mays Point may be getting better for shorebirds as well.
LaRue's survey from this morning reports over a hundred shorebirds at Mays,
including many of both yellowlegs, over 60 Least Sandpipers, a Stilt
Sandpiper, and four dowitchers, as well as an American Bittern and a Tundra
Swan. The visitor center pool had the usual species as well, plus four
Semipalmated Plovers. Highlights from the main pool area include three
Northern Pintail.
