First New York egg date for Killdeer is April 3rd (see the NY
breeding season tables at http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/wildlife_pdf/
brddate.pdf )
Add a couple of weeks for our upstate location, and it's definitely
possible that your Killdeer has eggs now.
