Agreed, please respect people's property! We just went along the public paved road this morning and still had amazing looks at the Upland Sandpipers, who were only a few feet from the road. One was standing atop a roadside gatepost and provided excellent views as we drove by. That said, since these birds are so close to the road sometimes, take care not to stop too close and spook them.
