Today, I saw 2 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS at the bend of Sapsucker Woods Rd, near the
Lab's bird feeding garden -- apparently they were seen yesterday as well. Also
in that area was a flock of at least 50 HOUSE FINCHES (the largest flock I have
seen in several years), and about 10 WAXWINGS -- all Cedars.

Yesterday, a MERLIN perched briefly in a treetop on the north side of the Lab
building, and then flew off towards the airport. A flock of about 100 SNOW
BUNTINGS was near the intersection of Irish Settlement Rd and Rt. 13 yesterday
around 1 PM.

A FLICKER and a CAROLINA WREN visited the feeders at home this morning, but no
interesting sparrows.
