Two OSPREYS were seen early this morning, south of the lake, along the Dryden Lake Trail. Both were on limbs of snags, eating fish (carp). They were about 400 yds. apart. Later, both were seen over the lake, and one dived for another carp, unsuccessfully, right in front of me (it was in the water, and I was on the Trail). Even later, both spiraled up very high and floated south. No activity was observed at the nesting platform. A nest, if there is one, may be offsite.
Tons of PAINTED TURTLES, but no snappers seen.
