With pipits as our target species, Susie & I headed out to walk about Mt.
Pleasant this morning. Uncharacteristically, we actually found some; a
flock of 21 AMER. PIPITS landed in a field close to the road with some AMER
ROBINS. They did not stay long. Also, we came upon a SINGING FOX SPARROW,
heard our first drumming RUFFED GROUSE of the year, and watched a WOODCHUCK
digging out.
