An employee, Jack Ruggirello, at Tunison Aquatic Science Laboratory between Cortland and Dryden sent an email indicating the presence of two singing Winter Wrens yesterday morning. I visited there a short while ago to find one very cooperative and approachable wren singing behind the lab in the woods along the stream. Seems to be two weeks early?
