The shooting has moved north, and I'm pleased to see about 200 Redheads, approximately 50 Canvasbacks, 4 Tundra Swans, as well as Canadas and Mallards intermixed in front of my house. The raft has been tightly packed and the waters rough from the wind, so somewhat hard to count and see other less obvious species at the moment (just north of Hog Hole). There was a gathering of birds at dawn on the ice edge of Treman Marina park, the light was too bad to identify, but apparently the lawn chair crowd was elsewhere this morning.
