Hi all,

I was having lunch in the kitchen when I heard a call which seemed to be
coming from inside the house. I was wondering if my computer was on and
something is coming from there or is one of my recorder on by chance and
that is from where I am hearing noise. But still decided to look outside in
the yard. I did not see anything, as I was about to duck inside the
CAROLINA WREN called again and this time I saw him, he was in my kitchen
vent, no doubt he sounded close, He looked like was inspecting if that
would be a good spot to roost. I think it would be, though it wont be as
warm as other houses at least he will have 55+ temp and can get some nice
waft of Indian spices!

I spent most of the day out doing some work and usual resident birds hung
around. Specials were Red-breasted Nuthatches, Golden-crowned Kinglet and
of Course Carolina Wren. Another surprise was a basking Garter Snake! This
is the second time I have seen a snake in my yard this year. I was very
happy to see it!
Also, I saw some Geese heading south but not many and a couple of Cabbage
Whites flitting around and feeding on Taraxacum and glodenrod flowers.
