Vaibhav,

Great Work!  I was able to tweak it a bit here and there and was able to get it
working on my machine, and it looks great.  I do have a few adjustments that I
hope you can make.

1)  When a person clicks the "Sync Posts" button at the top, I would like the
entire form to not contain any information from any previous requests.  eg.
Source Table: Select a table, Source Column: Select a table first, the
dual-boxes should be empty, and finally, the Category: Select a category.

2)  I think its just a small bug, but when I add an item to the second
dual-box, and then remove it from the second box, the first box will have two
of everything listed.  This appears to only occur in a specific table of mine,
so I will take a look into it, but if you could check to see that all of your
tables do not exhibit this behavior I would appreciate it.  Also, if you have
any ideas why this would happen, please let me know as this should be fixed in
case other users experience the same thing.

3)  Can we have the second dual-box be populated top-down?   For example, as I
add each column it should go underneath the previous one making the first
column I selected go at the top of the list.  Also, if it is possible, can we
add sorting buttons so that a user may choose which order the columns should
present in after they have added them to the second dual-box?

That is all I have for now in regards to quick adjustments.  As for customizing
the content, what you have is good for now, and down the road we shall add that
feature.  Ubuntu, what a great little OS, have you tried Linux Mint?  In order
to emulate IE, you will want to install IEs4Linux.  Here is the main web page
that should give you the direction you need.

Cody and Vasu,

I have attached a .zip containing all of Vaibhav's and my changes so if you
could each start working on testing it using different versions of Wordpress
starting from 2.5 and up as well as on IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome.  Please
work together to decide how you both would like to get this done and then send
me a report containing the Wordpress version and browser version with the
results.  Also, please use the listserv so that both Vaibhav and I are aware of
how you performing the testing.

Thank you all very much!  Catsync is really coming along nicely.

Mike

Hi,

I apologize for such a late response. I have been busy looking for a start up.
Well I have found a couple. Lets see how things fare. Also, you might have
recieved some spams from my mail box. I don't know how the mails got generated.
Now I have changed my password, I hope this fixes things. I apologize for the
same. I have implemented post content generation feature. This is how it should
work:

1. The user selects post content columns from a dual list.
2. The selected columns will be part of the post in the following format:
 Column1: ColumnData
Column2: ColumnData
Column3: ColumnData

I am working on providing some customization on this. I am looking forward to
some ideas on content generation format. Please test this code and see if we
can improve on some areas.

These are the short comings which I could think
 of:

1. The columns configuration for each table is not persisted. So if the user
has selected some columns for a particular table and generated the posts, this
configuration will be remembered but for other tables user will have to start
fresh.

2. Ajax calls will not remember what user last selected for a particular table.
3. No customization of post content.

Mike, about that IE issue I don't have IE installed in my system. I am using
ubuntu. Is there any software which emulates IE?

Regards,

Vaibhav
