I am putsuing a SIMS (surgical info. manag. system) for the Ottawa hospital The major components seem to be:
- sheduling of Op. Rooms and resources
- interfaces with the siemens SMS system, HL7 oriented
- supporting multiple campuses
- reports
- intertace with an inventory management services
The biggst issue i have at the moment is scheduling of resources.
the solution I prefer is rapla http://rapla.sourceforge.net/index.html, the issue thogh is that it is Java (BTW, it won't be a bad idea to interface care2x with jboss)
there are some open-source PHP based scheduling system, see for example phpscheduleit at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpscheduleit/
the one I prefer is PHPLite (http://www.phplite.com/products/meetingreserve/) its price (350$ unlimited) makes it virtually free.
In order for me to procede i MUST have access to care2x documentation, but all links are broke,
