So there is no way to build an own backend not relying on memory at all? I 
thought, since you can read through using mmap, you should also be abe to 
write through. Ok, not directly to files what might be because of 
fragmentation but in redis you could allocate the segments in the same 
independant way as with malloc. Just having each segment having its own key.
