Title:
ubuntu_kselftests_ftrace fails to finish successfully on powerpc
  platforms running noble

Status in ubuntu-kernel-tests:
  In Progress

Bug description:
All the test cases from ubuntu_kselftests_ftrace seem to run until the
end. However, at the stage of collecting the results, there is a sut-
  test failure as shown below:

sut-test TEST SYSTEM FAILURE DETECTED Unable to parse results file
  '/home/maas/workspace/noble-linux-fips-fips-
  ppc64el.10-6.8.0-kernel-P10d-LPAR08-ubuntu_kselftests_ftrace/kernel-
  results.xml' as xml.

  ---
This has been observed on n:linux-fips version 6.8.0-38.38+fips3 during the
d2024.07.08 cycle on kernel-P10d-LPAR08.ppc64el.10.
This has also been spotted on n:linux version 6.8.0-44.44 during the
2024.08.05 cycle on baltar.ppc64el.9 and kernel-P10d-LPAR07.ppc64el.10.
