Chromium-based browsers like Opera use a different plugin architecture known as Pepper. So they won't see the plugin installed by flashplugin- installer, but need a version of flash made for Pepper. (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Native_Client#PPAPI for more details)
I realize this was reported a while back so you might have discovered this already, but could you try with the pepperflashplugin-nonfree package (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pepperflashplugin-nonfree) and see if that works? ** Changed in: adobe-flashplugin (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Canonical Partner Developers, which is subscribed to adobe-flashplugin in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1483931 Title: Opera can't found flash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/adobe-flashplugin/+bug/1483931/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~canonical-partner-dev Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~canonical-partner-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
