I just confirm on Lucid (10.04.2 LTS) that Skype's main binary must be added to prelink's blacklist.
The proof is made by testing the blacklisting as it works (just add -b /usr/bin/skype at the end of /etc/prelink.conf) and by understanding why the other workaround (apt-get install --reinstall prelink) works too. Maybe it is time to fix it as this is an annoying bug for an LTS-class distro ! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Canonical Partner Developers, which is subscribed to skype in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/759661 Title: Skype distro package segmentation fault (official package works) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/prelink/+bug/759661/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~canonical-partner-dev Post to : canonical-partner-dev@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~canonical-partner-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
