White Texas Sheet Cake

The White Chocolate version of the already famous Texas Sheet Cake.
Have you heard of the famous Texas Sheet Cake? This fabulous lookalike
recipe is the white chocolate version. Sheet cake is an amazing dessert
to make when you are having company over. A little goes a long way when
you are baking up this sweet treat. This recipe is one of grandma's
favorites, so you best check it out. For down home flavor with a little
effort in the kitchen, this copycat recipe is one that you just can't
miss out on.

Yield: Serves between 16-24
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup water
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups sugar
2 eggs beaten
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup walnuts chopped (optional)
Directions:
1. Bring 1 cup butter and 1 cup water to a boil in a saucepan.
2. Remove from heat and whisk in flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, eggs,
sour cream and almond extract until smooth.
3. Pour into a greased 15×10 baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-22
minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
4. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 20 minutes.
5. While cake is cooling, make frosting.
6. Combine butter and milk in a saucepan; cook over low heat until
butter melts.
7. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
8. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and almond extract; beat at
medium speed with an electric mixer until spreading consistency.
9. Stir in walnuts (optional).
10. Spread frosting on top of cake.
