Ingredients
* 1 cupcorn syrup
* 1 cupcold water
* 1 teaspoonsalt
* 1/2teaspooncloves
* 1 teaspoonnutmeg
* 1 tablespoonshortening
* 1 teaspoonsoda
* 2 cupsflour
* 1/2teaspoonbaking powder
Instructions
1.Put corn syrup, cold water, salt, cloves and nutmeg in saucepan. Cook
for three minutes after reaching the boiling point. Add shortening.
2.When cool, add soda dissolved in a little hot

3.Stir, pour into greased tube pan.
