Cinnamon Breakfast Cake

2 cups of flour
4 tablespoons of brown sugar
4 teaspoons of baking powder
4 tablespoons of shortening
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 Egg, Well beaten
1/4 cup of seedless raisins
1/2 cup of milk
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon of butter, melted
1 teaspoon of cinnamon substitute 
 
Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder, and salt. Add brown sugar; 
cut in shortening with 2 spatulas. Add egg and sufficient milk to form a soft 
dough. Add raisins. Spread in well-oiled and floured cake tin. Pour melted 
butter over top of cake. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon. Bake 
in hot oven 435ºF. 20-25 minutes.
