My aunt got this recipe from a lady who used to work for "Very 
Vera".  It is a very rich, delicious cake.  Enjoy!!

VERY VERA'S STRAWBERRY CAKE
 
1 box moist white or strawberry cake mix
1 box strawberry jello
2 containers of frozen sliced strawberries (w/sugar added),
thawed and drained well. (same some juice for frosting)
4 eggs
1/2 cup veg. oil
1/4 cup water or 1/4 strawberry juice

Mix cake mix, jello, oil, eggs and water. Can subsitute strawberry 
juice instead of water, (be sure to save enough for frosting). Mix 
well then beat in strawberries and beat until strawberries are broken 
up. Bake at 325 in 3x9" pans for 27-30 minutes.
Do not overbake or cake will be dry.
 
Frosting:
1 2 lb. bag confectioners sugar
1 stick of real butter
1 8 oz. package cream cheese
1 tsp. strawberry flavoring and few drops
red food coloring w/ some strawberry juice

Beat cream cheese and butter until creamy. Add sugar a little at a 
time til all is incorporated. Add strawberry flavoring and a couple 
drops of red coloring to the strawberry juice and beat for 5 minutes 
to get frosting light and fluffy. Optional: can add and beat well 
some strawberries in frosting. Or decorate top with mint
leaves and real sliced strawberries.
Refrigerate in tight cake preserver over-night until ready to serve. 
Can bake cake way in advance and wrap each layer well and freeze 
until ready to frost.
