Adva ... do you know how to make apple sauce from scratch ?
Does anyone here in the group want to share a recipe to use with this cake ?

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 1/4 cups apple sauce (unsweetened)
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup boiled water
2 baking apples, unpeeled, sliced thin
Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C)
Beat the sugar and oil, and graduallly add the eggs
While beating, add the flour, salt, cinnmaon and cloves, intermitantly
with the applesauce.
mix the baking soda with the water, and add to the batter
Pour into greased round pan, and arrange the apples on top.
Bake 45 min.
