Yeah ! Looks like it, hence my confusion ...because everybody said it was a fruitcake, others said it was a pudding.
It was a large cake though 8 1/2" X 11" X 3" and was decorated with a white creamy frosting...tasted like royal icing. I am going to try that recipe in the site you game me. Thank you, thank you. I'll let you know ... lavsrecs <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: After re-reading Patrizio's request/question today ( LOL, I know, I know, now dont start worrying just because I am THINKING) !! I think I have a clue: especially since Patrizio lives in canada, where hese is some British influence, an with Trish's response, TheBritscall dessert "pudding" and remember the arol "We wsh you a Merry Christmas" where the carolers sing"No bring us some figgy pudding...." and that classic traditional English hristmasdesertcalledPlumpudding, which is served with hard Sauce, which is a white frosting with a hard-ish stiff consistency, made with cognac o brndy o that it can flame for a beautiful presentation, I am pretty sure that what you had atthe party was a Christmas plum pudding, or something ery vwry similar, with a brandy hard sauce topping. I looked on the net for pics of a Christmas pudding and here is what I turned up. Patrizio, do any of these look like the one you had? http://www.syvum.com/cgi/online/serve.cgi/fun/christmas/recipes/christmas_pudding.tdf?0 http://www.juliangraves.co.uk/pages/recipes/christmas-pudding.htm http://www.eat-online.net/english/habits/christmas/christmas_pudding.htm http://www.dianasdesserts.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/recipes.recipe http://www.juliangraves.co.uk/pages/recipes/christmas-pudding.htm I'll bet that if you find out the name of the bakery, they will be able to tell you its name at the least, and it willbe something similar to thee above!
