Ok, I have a fresh CakePHP 1.3.5 installation. When I run /test.php, I get a page telling me to install SimpleTest. So far so good.
After I install SimpleTest 1.0.1 to /vendors, I can't load /test.php any more. Different browsers give different errors; Chrome: Error 330 (net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED): Unknown error. Firefox: Content Encoding Error - The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression. Safari: “cannot decode raw data” (CFURLErrorDomain:-1015) Opera actually loads the page, with this at the top: Warning (2): htmlentities() [function.htmlentities]: charset `ANSI_X3.4-1968' not supported, assuming iso-8859-1 [CORE/cake/tests/lib/reporter/ cake_html_reporter.php, line 376] So it seems to be something to do with encoding or compression.
