I've now got caching working great on my 1.3.4 site (thanks to help in another thread). The db traffic is almost non-existant now.
I currently have it set for "1 hour" but as this site is only updated once or twice a week I am wondering if there is a downside to making this time longer? Am I right in my understanding of the manual http://book.cakephp.org/view/1382/Clearing-the-Cache that the cache is cleared automatically when the db is updated via cake and that I don't need to do anything more to clear it?
