Granted there may situations where you need to jump out of PHP but I haven't come across any as of yet ... $this->Html->tag() took care of things nicely when I was in doubt about any particular tag.
Still on the fence about things but still really not seeing any MAJOR downside besides a bit of extra typing. Works for me so far.
