Hi, I have a strange problem with media views, a client (a photography studio) has rather odd filenaming conventions - eg 'l.b.z J Dart Shoot #10F2AB.jpg' now with media views it would recognise this filename and display - however, i have a renaming script in operation that renames files if it finds another file of the same name on the sever - eg the afformentioned file would become 'l.b.z J Dart Shoot #10F2AB [1].jpg' and then 'l.b.z J Dart Shoot #10F2AB[2].jpg' and so on.... the issue is these files are then not displayed in media views - i have tried _x_ (x) [x] and a number of other variations - it seems that some times the brackets or _ does work, but this is on more simple file names eg myfile[1].jpg
I need to fine the reason behind this so that i can find a decent solution - as i cannot control the filenames that the client chooses. If anyone has come accross this behaviour before, or knows the reason that its happenign i would be very interested in hearing about it - thanks in advance.
