In researching cakePHP-based ecommerce I of course came across bakesale which looks very promising. But I can't help feeling a bit disappointed there aren't more projects like this. There were certianly a lot of forum posts from people like me wondering whether to take the plunge and develop a custom shopping cart with cake.
Anyway, I was browsing the source of http://www.phpshop.org/ in google code looking for something I might be able to use to help me get started building my own shopping cart, and noticed that version two of PHPShop had a very familiar folder structure: http://code.google.com/p/phpshop/source/browse/#svn/trunk/phpshop2/app So I checked it out and it looks really very promising.
