That's okay if you were looking when the link was posted or if you
know where else to look just in case you weren't looking.

It's not so much what I _think_ they should be. It's more what they
have been for the last twenty years that I have been programming. Type
'release notes' into Google and you'll see, from the first five
entries, how structured, easy to read and informative they can be.
Okay, these examples are a little dressed up, but good examples,
nevertheless.
It wasn't me who said "the release notes", it was Mariano. I was just
asking, generally, where to find them ("the release notes"). Of course
I'm aware of all the other links you've posted, but the implication in
Mariano's statement was that there was an actual document - "the
release notes".
