Thanks for the reply. I went and reviewed the material. I am reviewing the 
material about layouts. I find the only reference to the header and footer  . I 
guess that this is the standard way to change the view of all the pages . 
Typically in a php pages I would create a header and footer and just place it 
in a folder.
Anyway thanks for your pointing to the material
