After updating to the latest 'nightly' version,  my problem with
'delete' in firebird appeared to have been resolved.
Maybe that will work for you too.

However,  I am still curious about the SQL 'delete {alias} from'
because I cannot see why the {alias} would be required in that
position by any SQL database?
