Oh, where do I start... 1) no associative data mapping 2) inconsistent use of functions and objects 3) broad but shallow documentation Look, I'm obviously a CakePHP guy so I'm going to favour it over CI. I don't like how CI makes me do everything myself. My CakePHP code just looks more elegant and clean and does way more. I find myself having to constantly hunt down helpers for functionality that is included by default in CakePHP. I'm sorry you've had such a rough time with CakePHP as the documentation is not where it should be. The tempdoc site goes a long way towards helping and a lot of questions can be answered right here on the list. If you want to use CI, I don't think anyone here is going to stop you. But give CakePHP a chance to show you why it's better than CI. Flexibility that CI offers means you end up with code that looks like shit, and that's why I prefer Cake because you follow the conventions and end up with something elegant. -- Chris Hartjes My motto for 2007: "Just build it, damnit!" @TheKeyboard - http://www.littlehart.net/atthekeyboard --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
