Yea, I'm also a bit puzzled...I didn't realize Mambo was still under active development....or maybe it wasn't and now will be.
The new version of Joomla is using an MVC design pattern, haven't looked at it yet, but doubtful they used CakePHP (otherwise it would've been posted all over the cake site/bakery I assume). I am very interested in seeing a CMS use the MVC design pattern and CakePHP in particular because I know many CMS', blogs, etc. have a tough time with speed and keeping up with demand. You don't notice this normally, but I've seen things like drupal take a beating with several million visits per month =) While this particular site which sadly must go unnamed won't be seeing a change of CMS (or even upgrade) any time soon, I'm always curious about future options for other sites...if I ever get the opportunity to work on such a large site again. Hope that this really works out. Looking forward to improved speed, security, and easier to work with CMS to develop modules/add-ons. If they do it right, they will probably have the best CMS out there. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
