Hi I am soon going to start my final year project at university and am evaluating my options for development of a php system. I would like to use a framework as it seems to speed up development time. However I would like an opinion about how much time it would typically take for an intermediate php user like me to learn how to use cake and develop a system along these lines:
I would like to make a system for reviewing university modules that would be used by lecturers and other stakeholders such as the external examiner and a quality manager. Each module should have its own page and in this page there will be a link to download a pdf containing a summarised version of student feedback. Then the different users (lecturers, examiners, etc) will have their own box on the page (access control) where they can leave their comments, and would also be able to see the comments of the other stakeholders but not edit them. The administrator of the system would also need to know what tasks have been done (i.e. feedback filled in) and which has not. Basically there will be a reporting system also including automatic email notifications and other stuff. thanks --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
