I've been using EasyEclipse for developing with cakePHP. One thing I noticed is that if you set up your browser plugin with the correct cake webroot paths, it crashes when you try to open a controller file. I filed a bug report with the EasyEclipse guys and have spent some time talking to them about it. This was a few months ago and there's no fix as of yet. The only option is to ignore the paths for setting up the browser plugin. I think fixing this so that you can see your app as your working would be a great thing to have in a cakePHP plugin for Eclipse.
