Everyone can debate browser standards forever...but the pure and simple
fact is all of them get used. One has to be able to design for both.

Keyword here: DESIGN

not develop. I say design and not develop because I really believe this
to be a design issue. The developing part (in this case done by
cakePHP) is NOT responsible for incompatibilities (in most cases).
CakePHP can live perfectly fine in IE (in my experience) and I don't
see why not in IE7.

If you don't know anything about the different css rules and xhtml
standards then I feel for you. Go read up about them. Don't blame cake
or it's bake function (if that has a problem) or their web site for not
showing up in IE7. A LOT of sites had problems when IE7
launched....because once again Microsoft created more problems. I'll
say that it acts much closer to FF now but certainly has it's quirks.

The cake team is much more busy developing the best PHP framework and
HELPING people than fixing their site for people who don't know any
better. Yes, I blame the people who are ignorant enough to be so called
"developers" and think they can get away by ONLY using IE7. LOAD IT IN
ANOTHER BROWSER. Wait for it to be fixed if you MUST use IE7...but
don't sit there and poke fun when you can't do better yourself. If you
only use IE7 just quit, give up, leave, go, bye, you don't belong here
or in this world.

Cake's web site is NOT cakePHP's framework. I'm more than certain the
framework is fine too....again you have to address cross-browser
compatibility in the VIEW part of the framework which is very very
easy. Like I said, it's "design" at that point and if you aren't
comfortable making something cross-browser compatible, hire a web
designer, learn or get out of this business.

I love ignorant/lazy people...they allow me to make more money at my
job.

I hate ignorant/lazy people...they hire other ignorant people and I end
up missing good opportunities and everyone ends up disappointed.

My point: Go learn something. Don't spam this group and don't cry to
people who don't care because what you're crying about is so trivial.
