You could set up the relationship between Post and User models.
For instance
//in Post.php
$belongsTo = 'User';
and make sure you have a field "user_id" in your posts table.
Then you can use this below in your Post controller.
$post = $this->Post->findById($id);
if($post['User']['id] == $user_id){
//.....
}
Something like above.
