This is a really old post, but just in case anyone else is searching and
finds this (like I did)...
Here's how you add *tabindex* with the Form Helper:
$this->Form->input('foo', array(*'tabindex' => '1'*, [other options...]));
$this->Form->input('bar', array(*'tabindex' => '2'*, [other options...]));
