Hi, sorry if I'm telling you something you are already aware of but the creation of AROs is done by the ACL behavior.
Maybe if you want to disable this create temporarily you can do: $actsAs = $this->User->actsAs; $this->User->actsAs = null; $this->User->save(); $this->User->actsAs = $actsAs; from your controller if you want to disable the ARO creation selectively. If you want to disable it completely, simply don't add the ACL behavior to your user model.
