Well I had a look for the problem in IE8 and I didn't find an answer.
Also I looked on Google and didn't find any good suggestions.  I
tried: $this->disableCache();

Do you mean "<script type="text/javascript" src="/myapp/js/
jquery.js"></script>" ?
... it's in the header.
