Assuming you are using Auth, with all the defaults... when the user goes to /controller/secureform, assuming its not in the allowed list, the user will be automatically redirected to the login form... on successful login it will redirect them back to the secure form with the auth session filled in. You can of course do further checks if only a specific class of user should access the secure form.
Much nicer than having somebody fill in a form, and then force them to login.
