OK! I will have the programmer who found this put it in trac and hope
is it looked into.

Thanks for the explaination - would have been very helpful if this was
put in the trac issue report before closing it - beforeFilter is what
I am using now.

@MI - I am exactly doing what you are suggesting :)  I head a few open
source projects which have more than a couple of million downloads so
can say that I know your pain. There is also a flip side to the coin
you are describing but talking about that would be digressing.
