I am not attacking you here, but in general that is something that you should be aware about your hosting environment.
So providing directions for each hosting environment is not practical, but in general it is not to difficult to figure out.
That being said, it is mentioned in the documentation.

See section 4, there is a comment about the app/tmp directory.
