"if i disable 'fake compositing' in cairo-dock settings then the black bar appears with the cairo-dock." This is already not normal, if you enabled compositing in the system settings. This seems not related to the graphic drivers, since it's the same with/witout opengl.
"i am fairly sure that cairo-dock did load ok initially, was hiding ok and was composited correctly without 'fake compositing' after initial install... possibly the nvidia driver was changed during the update pack 7 installation of lmde." I think that indeed, testing on a clean install could be a good idea. also, if you only use 1 screen, is it better ? 2013/10/27 Matthieu Baerts <[email protected]> > @fabounet: any idea about this bug? > > -- > You received this bug notification because you are a member of Cairo- > Dock Devs, which is subscribed to Cairo-Dock Core. > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1233247 > > Title: > cairo dock does not un-hide > > Status in Cairo-Dock : Core: > New > > Bug description: > cairo dock v3.2.1 - with or without openGL > > i am seeing that the dock hides when windows are placed on top of it and > does not re-appear when it should according to the settings. > the other windows (e.g. thunderbird/firefox) are not set to 'stay on > top' or any non-default setting. > > i changed the hide setting in cairo to 'always on top' and the dock > still did not appear on top of other windows.. > > changing theme does not resolve the issue. > > > i am using linux mint debian edition mate 64 bit - with update pack 7. > with nvidia driver 304.88 > > To manage notifications about this bug go to: > https://bugs.launchpad.net/cairo-dock-core/+bug/1233247/+subscriptions > > _______________________________________________ > Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~cairo-dock-team > Post to : [email protected] > Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~cairo-dock-team > More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp > -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Cairo- Dock Devs, which is subscribed to Cairo-Dock Core. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1233247 Title: cairo dock does not un-hide Status in Cairo-Dock : Core: New Bug description: cairo dock v3.2.1 - with or without openGL i am seeing that the dock hides when windows are placed on top of it and does not re-appear when it should according to the settings. the other windows (e.g. thunderbird/firefox) are not set to 'stay on top' or any non-default setting. i changed the hide setting in cairo to 'always on top' and the dock still did not appear on top of other windows.. changing theme does not resolve the issue. i am using linux mint debian edition mate 64 bit - with update pack 7. with nvidia driver 304.88 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cairo-dock-core/+bug/1233247/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~cairo-dock-team Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~cairo-dock-team More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
