I would like to throw my hat into the ring and run for Director
2-year-at-large.

I am President of Harris County Auxiliary Communications, a State Certified
Emergency Comms Instructor, and have many years, both in Texas and
Pennsylvania, experience with Amateur Radio Clubs, having been Field Day
coordinator for 2 groups back East for over 6 years, as well as holding
Board and Officer Positions in NY and PA Fire Departments, both paid and
Volunteer.

I believe I may be an asset to the Club by serving as a Director, and hope
you will support me.

Subject: [BVARC] November Elections are just around the corner!

Good evening, all!

In just a few months, several key positions on the BVARC Board of Directors
will be up for election:

*       President
* Corresponding Secretary (current incumbent not seeking re-election)
* Recording Secretary (currently open, no incumbent)
*       Treasurer
*       1-Year At-Large
*       2-Year At-Large (current incumbent not seeking re-election)

This is a unique moment in our club's history. With so many seats open at
once, we have an exciting opportunity to welcome fresh perspectives, new
ideas, and renewed energy into our leadership team.

Serving on the board is more than just holding a title-it's a chance to help
guide the club's future, ensure our values are upheld, and foster a
thriving, inclusive environment for all members. If you've ever wished for
change or had a vision for how the club could grow, this is your chance to
help make it happen.

Any member in good standing can stand for election to any open position.
Even if you've never served before, your perspective is valuable. A healthy
mix of experience and new voices helps keep our club vibrant, relevant, and
forward-looking.

If you're considering running, I ask that you respond to this email so that
we, the membership community, know you are running and can see what you are
offering especially if multiple people are running for the same position.
I'm sure I speak for many who would love to have some data before walking
into the election meeting in November.

Let's work together to ensure that our new board members reflect the diverse
talents and passions of our membership. Your voice matters-both at the
ballot box and on the board.

If you have questions about any of the positions, you can reach out to any
of the current board members: Mike Hardwick, President, N5VCX; Kori Rahman,
VP, WX5KR; Jeff Greer, Correspondence Secretary, W5JEF; David Ely,
Treasurer, N5EKW; Terry Leatherland, 2-Year At Large, K5PGF; or check out
the BVARC Bylaws and other documentation at bvarc.org.

73,

Chris/AC5CM
