Jay,

I use the RTR-2 from DX Engineering in the exact setup you describe:
https://www.dxengineering.com/parts/dxe-rtr-2

LoG in the front yard for receive, and OCFD strung across the house for
transmit. Used it with my 7300 before I bumped up to the 7760. I still use it
with the 7760 as I prefer the quick toggle between antennas to compare, and the
optional preamp module seems to perform better than the Icom unit built into
the radio. I got the preamp module and the receive interrupter module to go
with it. It all gets triggered with a SEND line signal like an external amp
would.

Kind regards,
Jim

Subject: [BVARC] Automatic Antenna Switcher

Hello,

I’m interested in installing a receive only ground loop at my QTH and have the
conundrum of antenna switching. I’m transmitting through a butternut vertical
but it’s rather noisy in my area.

I know MFJ-1707B used to exist however as I’m sure you’re aware they’re out of
business. Is there any alternate manufacturers out there that filled that gap?
Any suggestions to make this work without frying my radio? I have a 7300 with
only one SO-239 port. One day I’ll get something flashy (7610/7760) that can
dual monitor etc but currently I’m rocking my 7300.

Thanks all and 73,

Jay
