I have a natural gas all-home Generac. It’s set to test every Sunday for 10
minutes. I also run a full test by switching the main off at the service box
and let the generator run for 10 minutes.

I usually run my generator within the first week of each month, but have fallen
behind this month. Thanks for the reminder. It's also a good time to think
about your fuel. While I use stabilizer to extend the life of the fuel to two
years, I generally cycle my fuel on a 12 month rotation by using it in my
suburbans to make sure my gasoline stays fresh in storage. It is also
important to note that rules limit gasoline storage at home to 25 gallons in
Department of Transportation approved containers holding no more than 5 gallons
total capacity in each container. I keep my lids a little loose to prevent a
build up of gasoline vapors in the container.

Stay Safe.

Well, heck...

I pushed my generators out of the garage and fired up #1 and #2, no problems.

Wouldn't you know it, #3 won't hit a lick. Runs on starter fluid but not on
gasoline. I am betting on a fouled carburetor. I have a little something to do
later...

On my earlier post, the observant reader would notice the sample breaker is 30
amps and not the required 50 amp. ALways double check your part numbers! ;-)
