Thanks for volunteering Greg... it was a wonderful hamfest.
Since your new,  let me fill you in..
Michael M. went out of his way to honor the 2023 Hamfest volunteers fromthe
2023 hamfest (2 years ago)..
I would call Michael one of the superstars of the 2023 Hamfest...  He worked
tirelessly in marketing, He solicited prizes, and he took care of the
volunteers.. among many other things..He also served on the BVARC board of
directors..
Each year our hamfest planners negotiate so many things.. One thing was
recognition of the many volunteers with a 2023 HAMFEST patch to be presented to
each volunteer...
The board of directors approved the patch idea,  The patch wasdesigned,  the
patch (what i heard) was paid for and patches wereeventually delivered to
BVARC..
TWO YEARS AGO, where are the patches now???Guess it doesn't matter no one
remembers who the volunteers were
ha haSorry Michael, I know its frustrating..

 All,
I am new to this club and did volunteer each of the three days of the Hamfest
event and had a great time. I do not yet know very many people in this club,
however after seeing this email, I would like to make a recommendation that
anyone using this email service to disparage, attack or bully another person in
the group, that person should be reprimanded  suspended or removed from the
club. There should be no tolerance for abusive behavior or disrespect within
this group.
Kindest regards,
Greg Pendley

Attending this year's hamfest was an eye-opening experience, and it drove home
just how incredibly fortunate we are to have dedicated volunteers. My deepest
gratitude goes out to EVERY SINGLE volunteer—those of you who put in your heart
and soul this year and those who have done so in the past.

However, I am absolutely INFURIATED to discover that numerous volunteers (if
not all) from 2023 have STILL not received their small thank you gifts from
BVARC! Despite countless attempts to rectify this ridiculous oversight, they
remain empty-handed. This was meant to be a straightforward gesture of
appreciation, mind you, one that the board approved and entrusted to the
president to execute! It’s beyond comprehension that after all the hard work
and unwavering dedication these individuals displayed, they are left feeling
utterly disregarded!

If you haven’t received yours yet, you might be inclined to ask the president,
but honestly, that will probably lead you nowhere! This entire situation is
nothing short of UNACCEPTABLE! It may not seem like much, but I MUST say thank
you again to those who truly showed commitment. Without your INDISPENSABLE
dedication and tireless efforts, the Hamfest wouldn’t even stand a chance!

Attached is a photo of the gift that was supposed to be given, already
purchased with club funds. How is this okay?!
