Hello Bvarc'rs.   Many of you have heard me discuss the new HAM club at Houston Christian University (Fondren @ 59).
As of this week ,the club is formally alive  in the HCU Student Govt Organization.
N5HCU is the club call sign. I am the Trustee and mentor to the new young HAM Jedi-s.
Next week is also the ARRL Student Roundup - a field day type event.
We will be operating my POTA rig in the courtyard of the Atwood Engineering Buildings from 10am to 4pm each day. M T W Th Fr next week.
Except for myself and N5BAA -Blake Alley, and Aiden Montoya N1CLA, none of the newbies have ever used a radio before. This will be a great learning experience. Feel free to respond to the CQ if you hear us. Have patience with the operator if they sound timid and inexperienced because they are. :-)
The frequencies are listed below for the Club call out.  Most likely we will be on 40/10/20 Meters depending on the skywaves.
Blake or I will broadcast the live talk frequencies when we are on the air on this newsroom.
We will check into the Stir Crazy net, but that wont count for club contact points.

We will operate the 2M 146.58 simplex freq.  with 50 Watts in case nearby stations can hear us. See below the details.

Regards,
