Richard,
It sounds like all went well at Winter FD, and unfortunately I could not attend.
I would like to recommend a committee/group to encourage the emergency
management groups to attend and set up booths and/or their communications
vehicles so that the public will know they are out there (e.g. EMROG, CERT,
MRC, etc.).

To All,Sorry I have not put this out earlier, but I fell sick last week and
was out of commission.

I want to thank everyone for the turn out, it was a lot more than I thought we
would have and I think everyone had a good time. I ran this as a training event
so that in the Summer FD, we are even better than this year. We brought in
quite a few youth at this event and I think they will be back.
We also had a few sit down and teach classes and that was fun.
AND!!!!! As usual, it is not possible without the real "Get It Dones". Daphne,
Chuck, Scott for another outstanding food service. Mike Shanks and Bill Cordell
for the antenna setup. Sean Linkenheimer for cleaning up. I also was to
recognize the Co-Coordinator, Kori for his time and helping as much as he could
with life happening too. Also, all those that saw a need and threw in a hand.
I also would like to comically announce the new BVARC swim team that skillfully
removed the antenna on Sunday. We will be adding steps to the tower and putting
in our new diving board for this summer.
Now that we are through that, I will start planning the Summer Field Day. I
want to thank all that have so far encouraged me to make it even bigger than
last year.  But with that said, I need to start planning now and get teams
together. I also would like for everyone to honestly tell me what I can do to
improve, what they want to see, and ideas for classes and events.

I do not know it all and I feel that the teams are the real doers, I just solve
issues and transfer information.  My job is to dream things up and the ones
smarter, younger, and a lot better shape make it happen. BVARC is an awesome
organization and everyone has something to put in. I hope that a few of the
club also volunteer for Summer Field Day.
Here are a few areas the I am looking at putting teams together
1) Setup2) Classes3) Special Comms (Satellite, The ARRL Message, Public
interaction)
4) Guidence
5) Clean up

And that is a start. Please let me know if you want to help in any of those
areas.

Again, thank you all for Winter Field Day. Let's get Summer started.
