Colleagues,
Good morning. I’m driving to Goliad state park near Victoria leaving Katy
around noon today for a POTA park activation. Hope to see you on the air.
Remember that to be a "POTA hunter” you just call me up by answering my CQ.
You don’t have to submit a log or anything.
As before, the mode will be CW probably around 16 wpm. I will of course slow
down as necessary. I’m looking forward to visiting this site. It’s apparently
got one of the Texas missions there: Mission Espíritu Santo.
Location: Goliad state park
Time: starting activation ~ 2:30pm.
Frequency: 14.0625 MHz (+/- 5 MHz if freq busy)
Mode: CW
Exchange:
->[answer my CQ - throw out your call sign]
(I call your call sign from the pileup)
->BK TU UR 559 559 TX TX BK
(I reply similarly with thank you, your signal report, my qth, 73 de W2WF . .)
->[you send . . And we’re done]
So give CW a try today and have fun!
73,
Stephen (W2WF)
PS - this is an interesting Texas Parks & Wildlife video on the park and the
mission.
